Amy is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (License #068.0135926).
Therapeutically, Amy utilizes a trauma-informed integrative health approach. She observes, "Too few people speak about love and the role it can play in directing our daily actions. And yet love is at the heart of personal growth. In the midst of conflict and pain, an open heart can help push through obstacles and bring understanding to change the energy of conversations and increase momentum toward goals. The ability to infuse love into our perspective on new situations, finances, other people, and the care of our body is a skill that can be developed as insight is gained in counseling. Wellness is enhanced by identifying the ways in which one's creativity can be utilized not solely for creating art but also for dealing with life's practicalities, such as changing a habit or adopting new vocabulary."
This practice of exploring the contraction of the heart and the expansion of the imagination is the beauty and the work of therapy with Amy. She helps clients draw on the relationships they have with food, exercise, sleep, their home, other health care providers, intellectual pursuits, family systems, social connections, and spirituality to gain a full picture of their internal and external avenues for agency. She values the therapeutic relationship, and is honored to assist clients in locating and befriending their natural healing instincts and tendency toward inner peace.
Amy is a southern transplant to New England, who enjoys swimming, working in her art studio, and gardening.
